Job Description/Requirements.
The Communications Specialist develops and implements communication strategies that support organizational goals and drive operational excellence. This role collaborates closely with operations and Support Center teams to deliver key initiatives across multiple channels. It requires a highly organized, self-motivated individual who exercises sound judgment and is inspired to drive change within the organization.
What You'll Do
+ Participate in planning and execution of internal communications strategies that support companywide priorities and change initiatives.
+ Manage day-to-day internal communications across the organization, including maintaining the campaign calendar, composing and editing messages, and coaching Support Center teammates on the discipline of timely , consistent communication with stores.
+ Drive ongoing document governance by educating teams on the application of guidelines, holding them accountable for consistent maintenance, and managing document lifecycles across the organization.
+ Maintain an intimate understanding of our stores' day-to-day operations and communications to implement opportunities that drive operational excellence.
+ Foster and maintain relationships with Stores, Distribution Center, and Support Center teams, enhancing strategic communication flow and organizational alignment.
+ Act as the subject matter expert for the company intranet, leading ongoing efforts to optimize its functionality, usability, and overall effectiveness, while serving as the point person to train Support Center employees on the platform and communicate usage expectations.
+ Measure and report on the effectiveness of internal communication efforts using engagement metrics, intranet analytics and feedback from field teams.
+ Perform other related duties as needed to support effective communication across the organization.
What We're Looking For
Minimum Qualifications :
+ Bachelor's degree
+ 1--2 years of experience in internal communications, employee engagement, public relations, or related roles such as administrative support or project coordination
+ Exceptional written and verbal communication skills with strong attention to detail
+ Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines
+ Skilled at building collaborative partnerships across departments and effectively engaging stakeholders at all levels
+ Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with professionalism
+ Strong PC skills, including proficiency with Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
+ Inspired to drive engagement and strategic thinking
Preferred Qualifications:
+ Experience working in a retail environment
+ Experience crafting messages for a variety of channels (e.g., email, intranet, newsletters, presentations)
+ Knowledge of communication channels including Office 365, Intranet, etc.
Work Environment
The position is based in an office environment, requiring periods of sitting and the operation of standard office equipment, including computers, phones, and other office tools . Work hours are typically 8-5, Monday through Friday, with occasional evening and weekend hours as needed .
