Job Title: Communications Specialist, Global Corporate Affairs
Role Summary
Axalta is seeking a proactive and resourceful Communications Specialist to support our global Corporate Affairs function. This role is ideal for someone with 3–5 years of experience, preferably in a fast-paced agency environment, who is ready to step into a global organization and contribute across a wide range of internal and external communications activities including the following: press releases, media statements, speechwriting, presentation development, employee memos, and LinkedIn posts.
You’ll play a key role in keeping the team organized, executing high-quality deliverables, and supporting key communications initiatives with minimal oversight. We’re looking for someone who is eager to grow, thrives on variety, and brings energy and ownership to every task — from administrative execution to stakeholder engagement.
Key Responsibilities
Support the planning and execution of internal and external communications campaigns.Manage internal content platforms and editorial calendars (e.g., intranet, newsletters, SharePoint).Provide project coordination, tracking, and status updates across global initiatives.Lead logistics for communications activities including events, campaigns, and announcements.Draft and format communications materials including emails, presentations, talking points, and reports.Collaborate with internal teams, senior stakeholders, and agency partners to execute deliverables.Maintain communications toolkits, calendars, lists, media lists and documentation while managing distribution lists and deployment.Anticipate needs, recommend process improvements, and bring structure to daily operations.Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree required.3–5 years of communications experience, ideally with at least 1–2 years at a PR/communications agency.Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (PowerPoint, Word, Excel); experience with SharePoint, Teams, or enterprise communication tools.Familiarity with design tools (e.g., Adobe Creative Suite), and employee communications platforms (e.g., Viva Engage, SharePoint, Marketo/Salesforce, digital signage).Experience with media relations and social media tools like monitoring and contact database services (e.g. Cision, Meltwater).Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including editing and formatting for clarity and impact via both long form (internal memo) and short form (social media post).A ‘news junkie’ mentality – strong habit of reading trade, national and financial media to understand how global trends are impacting the business and creating opportunities or threats.Strong project management skills with a proven ability to handle multiple workstreams with minimal oversight.Highly organized with strong attention to detail and follow-through.Collaborative team player who is comfortable working across regions and time zones.Our Company:
