Communications Specialist, Events Location : CARY, NC, United States Job Family : Communications Job Type : Regular Posted : Jul 7, 2025 Job ID : 58071 Back to Search Results Job Description Apply Now > Save JobJob Saved The Event Specialist is responsible for developing and executing digital and in-person marketing events (webinars and tradeshows) to create awareness and drive demand for Parker’s Engineered Materials Group products and services. The focus of this position is on digital event strategy, content and logistics. The ideal candidate will be able to think strategically about the role of events within global marketing programs. The Events Specialist works collaboratively with 10 global divisions and must understand the importance of tracking results. + Sets event goals and objectives; develops and implements strategies to achieve goal and objectives. + Determines metrics and KPIs for events. + Designs the overall look and feel of events. + Works with marketing communication managers to develop messaging and graphics. + Works with marketing communication managers to develop strategies for driving traffic to event. + Works with marketing communication managers to create promotional plan for events, including but not limited to social media and advertising. + Develops plans to capture leads at events as well as nurturing leads after the events. + Analyzes event results and develops action plans accordingly. + Drives continuous improvement by leading post-event meetings to collect feedback and implements improvements accordingly. + Researches industry trends and makes recommendations and implements accordingly ensuring our event presence is in alignment with current trends. + Owns budget for events. Sets budget. Responsible for ensuring events stay within budget. Negotiates with vendors on pricing. Processes invoices in a timely manner ensuring accuracy of charges. + Trains booth staff. + Responsible for managing vendors. + Advises and mentors regional teammates on events and best practices. Ensures consistent look and messaging at events across the globe. + Assists ownership of the global event calendar and ensures all regions are represented. + Ability to travel (<30%). Required Qualifications + Bachelor's Degree in Communications, Marketing or a Related Field. + 1-2 years' experience planning, implementing trade shows and/or events + Demonstrated ability to successfully manage trade shows, events (virtual/face to face) and/or sales meetings. + Ability to manage multiple projects independently. + Possess strong time and project management skills. + Excellent written and oral communication skills. + Detail oriented while working in a fast-paced environment. + Possess strong organizational skills. + Must be able to work well with internal and external customers at all levels within an organization. + Ability to meet deadlines. + Microsoft proficiency Preferred Qualifications + Desktop publishing skills + Basic understanding of Salesforce Parker Hannifin is a Fortune 250 global leader in motion and control technologies and systems.
