Job Description

JOB DESCRIPTION:

Fortune Brands Innovations is seeking a creative, driven, and agile communications professional to shape and elevate our internal and external corporate messaging. In this role, you will play a key part in influencing how we communicate across the enterprise, ensuring our Company voice is clear, consistent, and aligned with strategic business priorities. You will be responsible for developing and executing strategic communications across platforms, including managing and evolving our corporate website and thriving intranet. Working closely with cross-functional teams—including Brand Marketing, IT, Legal, Finance, and others—you will help amplify Company initiatives and support organizational growth through compelling storytelling and thoughtful content strategy. Your work will drive employee engagement, foster connection and alignment, and enhance our external corporate reputation through thought leadership and consistent messaging. This is a highly collaborative role that requires strong writing and editing skills, a strategic mindset, and a passion for creating meaningful, engaging communications that reflect our culture and values.

 

RESPONSIBLITIES:

Own the intranet strategy and roadmap, ensuring it aligns with business goals, internal communications priorities, and employee engagement objectives.Manage day-to-day operations of the intranet platform, including regular content updates, user access, site structure, and technical troubleshooting in partnership with IT and HR.Champion the intranet as FBIN’s digital home, promoting continued adoption and awareness through campaigns, training, and ongoing support.Manage the corporate website by keeping content up to date, ensuring it reflects our company-messaging and priorities, and partnering with our web vendor to maintain optimal functionality, performance, and user experience.Issue FBIN press releases and review brand press releases.Manage the editorial/content calendar and support content governance processes.Uphold brand and editorial standards, ensuring all content is accurate, accessible, and aligned with corporate guidelines.Collaborate with internal stakeholders to develop and deploy high-quality content in support of corporate initiatives and culture for internal and external digital platforms, while also supporting day-to-day communication needs across channels. Channels include the intranet, internal email newsletters, social media and the corporate website.Provides support to the broader communications team by managing distribution lists and coordinating the preparation and delivery of company-wide emails.Own the management of digital assets, including brand, people and community photography, executive photos.

 

 

Qualifications

QUALIFICATIONS:

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS:

Bachelor’s degree in communications, marketing, public relations, journalism or similar and relevant major.5-7 years of corporate communications and/or agency experience required.Extremely strong written and verbal communication skills. Experience writing for and deploying across corporate channels.Demonstrate strong technical aptitude by managing and optimizing communications platforms and tools (intranet and website CMS, email distribution, analytics dashboards), ensuring seamless content delivery, system functionality, and user experience.Adept at collaborating with internal and external partners; experience in building relationships with key stakeholders; strong interpersonal skills.Detail oriented, proactive, organized and action oriented.Excellent project management and execution skills.Basic graphic design skills (Canva and Adobe Creative Suite preferred).

 

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

Experience developing and creating corporate content.Agile, adaptable, creative and resourceful.Readily builds trust and rapport with others, fostering a comfortable and effective workplace.Skilled navigation of complex organizational structures and dynamics.Basic video editing skills a plus.

Additional Information:

 

Fortune Brands believes in fair and equitable pay. A reasonable estimate of the base salary range for this role is Hiring Pay Range: $70,000 USD - $110,000 USD. Please note that actual salaries may vary within the range, or be above or below the range, based on factors including, but not limited to, education, training, experience, professional achievement, business need, and location. In addition to base salary, employees will participate in either an annual bonus plan based on company and individual performance, or a role-based sales incentive plan.
