Communications and Stakeholder Engagement Advisor

The opportunity

Gold Coast Infrastructure Solutions (GCISolutions) is a Joint Venture between Ventia and Downer. GCISolutions has a 10-year contract to deliver essential water and wastewater services to the City of Gold Coast. We deliver a diverse range of work including improvement projects, refurbishment and renewal programmes and planned and reactive maintenance. We currently have an exciting opportunity for a Communications Stakeholder Engagement Advisor to join our team on the Gold Coast QLD. 

What you’ll do

You'll play a key role in project planning and construction meetings, ensuring stakeholder concerns are addressed early and effectively Manage day-to-day stakeholder interactions, including enquiries, complaints, and access negotiations Develop and implementing community engagement plans, managing proactive communications such as works notifications Visit work sites and undertake desktop studies to assess potential community impacts Attend and contribute to regular customer and community engagement team meetings Maintain the program’s stakeholder database and image library

What we’re looking for

Proven experience in infrastructure, water, or government projects is highly desirable Tertiary qualifications in Marketing, Communications, or a related field (or equivalent practical experience) IAP2 certification (International Association for Public Participation) is preferred but not essential Exceptional written and verbal communication skills Hold a valid C Class Driving License  Strong stakeholder engagement and relationship management capabilities
