As a Communications and Engagement Intern, you’ll is responsible for supporting the development and execution of Communications and Engagement initiatives at the Kuala Lumpur Hub. The role includes creating and managing communication materials, managing event logistics and collaborating with various stakeholders, community members and vendors.
Main responsibilities:
Collaborate with Hub Engagement Partner and Head of Kuala Lumpur Hub to deploy communications and engagement activities. Actively participate in the planning and execution of the Hub communications and engagement plan. Propose, plan, and organize diverse employee engagement events (e.g., townhalls, hub anniversary events, leadership visits, team building activities).Work with agencies and stakeholders to ensure successful event execution.Acting as a facilitatory at Hub and community events.Collaborate with community members around community initiatives to align it with the Hub communications and engagement agendaManage communication materials and channelsCreate, update, and maintain communication and functional materials for internal and external use: PPTs, templates, flyers, posters, event materials, one pagers.Create and update digital content in the office area.Create, design and update printed materials for engagement events (signs, flyers, posters, flags)Write communication materials for internal channels (invites, communications, announcements, Viva Engage posts, pols, feedback forms, registration forms)Create communication materials for external channels – Facebook, LinkedIn, job fairs etc.Edit videos and photos of the engagement eventsEnsure alignment with brand guidelines and that materials remain relevant and engaging.Manage and update editorial content calendar, events calendar and distribution listsManage logistics and organization of engagement eventsWork with engagement committee and vendors to ensure successful event execution. Create zoom link and zoom webinars, raise tickets for logistic requestsAbout you
Bachelor’s degree, ideally in communications, public relations, business, marketing, or any related field. Strong command in written and verbal English and possesses the ability to create, design and manage communication content. A proactive, detail-oriented and creative mindset, with a willingness to learn and possesses strong project management skills. Exhibit organizational and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively within a team. Good to have: Previous leadership and/or writing experience in school or student varsity activities. Skilled in creating engaging content across different formats (e.g., articles, social media posts, videos) and proficient in Microsoft Office and design tools such as Canva or Adobe Suite.Why choose us?
