**Description:**
This position provides public safety communications services to the Security Police, Hospital Ministries, Local Law Enforcement, Local Fire/EMS, and Reception Services. A Security Police Dispatcher is responsible for receiving and dispatching calls and messages for Security Police, Fire/Emergency, and maintaining radio contact with various mobile units. The Dispatcher is assigned to a workstation located in the Communications Center of Trinity Health Ann Arbor and is responsible for both security police and reception communication services including emergency calls. Calls and messages include routine reports, referral information, emergency calls for assistance from patients, security police and hospital personnel. The majority of all functions require entering data into a computer as it is being received and monitoring numerous radio channels and CCTV cameras simultaneously. All work is performed in accordance with Department work rules, Policies, local, state, and federal regulations.
**REQUIRED EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE AND CERTIFICATION/LICENSURE**
+ High school education or GED equivalent.
+ Previous Call Center, Operator Console and/or Security Dispatch experience is preferred.
+ Previous experience in a healthcare setting is preferred.
+ 2-3 years of computer experience having familiarity with Windows, Microsoft Office, Hugs, Temp Track, LEIN would be a plus.
+ Applicants demonstrating dependability and flexibility in scheduling will be given preferential consideration.

Able to assess and respond appropriately to computer and system problems.
Able to speak clearly, with a pleasant voice, using proper English grammar.
Knowledge of health system locations, campuses, departments, and staff.
Ability to read and write the English language.
**REPORTING RELATIONSHIPS**
Security Police Dispatch/Emergency Communications Operator reports directly to the Security Police Platoon Sergeant, Security Police Lieutenant and Security Police Chief.
