Job Summary
Promotes and executes the sale of the Community Connect Epic EHR products and services in assigned sales territory in order to maximize sales volume and company profitability. Analyzes sales strategy and configuration to produce quoting and pricing options. Maximizes and maintains effective partnerships between Choice Health and independent physician practice members. Assists in the development and maintenance of a multi county / multi state comprehensive Business Service Network designed to meet the needs of the healthcare provider. Responsible for developing and fostering relationships with physicians and staff in order to increase growth and promote Community Connect, Choice Health, and Novant Health services. Achieves revenue objectives through sales of healthcare IT/EHR solutions and services to physician practices. Prioritizes and coordinates daily business activities. Demonstrates leadership in providing ongoing quality, productivity and efficiency within the department. Manages multiple accounts and executes closure with aggressive timelines to ensure maximum customer satisfaction, attract new business and increase market share. Achieves assigned sales and retention goals and departmental objectives. Responsible for all aspects of the development and implementation of Novant Community Connect projects and provides a single point of contact for those projects. Responsible for projects throughout the project management lifecycle, from original concept to final implementation. Interfaces with all areas affected by the project including business users and IT staff.
This position is located in the Winston-Salem market.
Responsibilities
+ Interpersonal Effectiveness and Communication: Define and manage project scope throughout the project. Develop clear and concise project scope, goals, objectives, and benefits.
+ Business Acumen: Provides project/process consultation to directors/managers/staff of network. Development of in-depth knowledge of the specifications and features of the Community Connect Epic EHR system to ensure the delivery of quality services to clients.
+ Sales Growth and Development: Responsible for selling Community Connect Epic EHR services within an assigned territory. Builds and maintains relationships by explaining and educating physicians about the features of Community Connect, Choice Health, and Novant (if applicable) services and by continually improving services.
+ Customer Service: Accountable for customer service standards and ensures service recovery when needed.
+ Financial Management: Responsible for regional sales and profitably goals for products, membership and services in assigned sales territory.
Qualifications
+ Education: Bachelor's Degree in Business or Healthcare related field, required.
+ Experience:
+ Three to five years of experience in direct sales: medical industry sales experience with preference given to medical software and support sales experience, required.
+ Five years of experience in IT/medical/business, project management in IT environment, and healthcare operations, required.
+ Additional Skills: Demonstrates understanding and knowledge of Federal and State Regulations such as Stark, Anti-Trust, anti-kickback, etc. Knowledge of current and future trends/practices in area of responsibility. Must be able to speak with poise and confidence in both one-on-one relationships and groups. Must be flexible, able to make independent judgments and able to adapt to a changing environment. Must have good relationship management skills, analytical and problem solving, sales marketing skills, time management and project management skills. Must be proficient in conflict management, interpersonal relationship skills, principals of adult learning and teaching methods, decision making, understanding of customer needs and expectations and knowledge for improvement to exceed customer expectations. Must be able to successfully handle multiple priority projects simultaneously. Must be able to be a team player, work in a matrix environment, contribute to a positive working environment and demonstrate initiative, ownership and accountability in a fast-paced environment. Must have knowledge of medical terminology and the healthcare environment as it relates to physicians, medical group practices, ancillary services and insurance/managed care. Understanding of sales process with the ability to successfully open doors and close deals. Must be able to maintain confidentiality to protect providers, payers and trade secrets of Choice Health and Novant Health. Experience in managing a high volume of sales opportunities. Consistent history of meeting and exceeding sales quotas. Professional sales training. Understanding of sales environment from previous experience in health care sales capacity. Excellent analytical and quantitative skills. Proficient with Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook and contact management database software. Ability to work independently with a high level of autonomy. Experience in calling on physicians, administrators, clinicians, hospital administrators and management staff. Background in new market development. Thorough knowledge of project management practices, as set forth by the Project Management Institute’s Body of Knowledge. Thorough knowledge of the System Development Life Cycle process. Prior experience managing large, complex, strategic projects; crossing multiple departments; and with total project costs in the multi-million dollar range. Excellent communication skills (written & verbal) both internally to the project team and to executives. Ability to provide necessary support to the gathering and writing of accurate, complete requirement specifications and process flows. Acts as a catalyst to resolve project issues and conflicts encountered by team members. Relationship management skills that include excellent listening and consultative abilities, as well as the ability to establish credible relationships with business partners to drive change. Excellent interpersonal, project management, problem solving, and organizational skills.
