**Overview**
**JOB DESCRIPTION**
The Communication Clerk plays a vital role in supporting the daily operations of the parking services department by serving as the primary point of contact for customer inquiries, internal communications, and administrative support. This position ensures efficient communication between customers, enforcement officers, and administrative staff, contributing to a smooth and responsive parking operation.
**Pay range: $22.00 an hour**
The pay listed is the salary range for this position. An offer will vary based on the applicant's education, experience, skills, abilities, geographic location, and alignment with market data.

**Key Responsibilities:**
+ Respond to customer inquiries via phone, email, and in-person regarding parking regulations, citations, permits, and general services.
+ Maintain accurate records of all communications, complaints, and resolutions in the system.
+ Coordinate with enforcement officers and field staff to relay information and dispatch service requests.
+ Process and distribute parking permits, citations, and appeal documentation.
+ Assist in preparing reports, memos, and correspondence related to parking operations.
+ Monitor and update parking databases and systems to ensure data accuracy.
+ Support the department with clerical tasks such as filing, scanning, and data entry.
+ Escalate complex or unresolved issues to the appropriate personnel in a timely manner.
**Qualifications:**
+ High school diploma or equivalent; associate degree preferred.
+ 1–2 years of experience in a customer service or administrative role, preferably in a municipal or transportation-related environment.
+ Strong verbal and written communication skills.
+ Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and familiarity with parking management software is a plus.
+ Ability to multitask, prioritize, and work in a fast-paced environment.
+ Excellent interpersonal skills and a customer-focused attitude.
