Based predominantly from our Fareham site in Hampshire, the Communications Manager will take every opportunity to set us apart from our peers and build the saliency of the Parker Hannifin brand. With the ability to deliver outstanding communications to a multitude of stakeholders, this role will bring further energy, discipline and focus to our refreshed communications approach.
The role will act as a business partner within Aerospace Group, partnering with key divisions and providing strategic advice and guidance to the business. Strategic thinking will be coupled with hands on support, to ensure there is consistency and clarity of both message and purpose. The ability to manage budgets and other expenses sensibly and pragmatically is essential.
The communications manager will drive consistency and best practice in communications, including digital as well as ‘look and feel’, messaging, KPIs and measurement. They will develop and measure specific KPIs providing feedback on a quarterly basis.
Your day-to-day
+ Support the execution of the group communications plan to augment the reputation of Parker, creating transparent, consistent and constant communications.
+ Be a strategic business partner to designated executives and group divisions, creating and executing communications plans.
+ Be an enabler in the transformation of our digital presence by contributing to the strategy and management of our external digital communications: website and social media including a fresh look and new content for Parkeraerospace.com.
+ Support the creation, drive and delivery of the social media plan including hitting KPIs; regular content and links to .com; strategic approach to improve thought-leadership profile.
+ Work with the businesses to build and maintain a corporate story vault; generate and write press releases.
+ Work with Director of Communications to develop relationships with external media trade journals and technical press.
+ Ensure the development and delivery of PR plans around key trade shows and CRM events.
+ Supplier management – working with a framework of suppliers, ensuring that they deliver value for money without compromising quality.
+ Develop a brief for each key project, in consultation with key stakeholders, and manage the development of communications.
+ Project plan and manage key communications, including trade shows
+ Manage budgets
Who we are looking for
+ Degree in any discipline that demonstrates communication, and or project management
+ Proven depth of experience in pr/comms/events
+ Ability to liaise with stakeholders at a senior level
+ Ability to have attention to detail in print and event planning
