Job Description:
Key Job Elements
Leads a commodity team in the development and implementation of recommended strategies and goals for assigned commodities - in support of business objectives related to quality assurance, technology/new product development, risk mitigation, and total cost.
Conducts supplier analysis and selection processes, make/buy, outsourcing, and transitions. Acts as project manager in various types of continuation/product support projects.
Establishes sourcing strategies by proactively reviewing supplier performance and conducting supplier and part number rationalization and segmentation initiatives.
Develops and manages working relationships with both internal functions and suppliers to manage resolution of supplier issues.
Leads supplier negotiations in support of executing supply agreements and ensuring supplier’s conformance to company’s terms and conditions. Continuously monitors agreements and expectations. Partners closely with legal department in working contract language.
Develops implementation and transition plans to ensure sourcing benefits for the assigned commodities are fully realized.
Analyzes commodity spend data, market trends, and dynamics to evaluate or identify sourcing initiatives within designated spend categories.
Manages the supply chain by monitoring, reporting, and providing recommendations on issues which could affect quality, delivery, or pricing.
Presents to management procurement opportunities and associated analysis that are aligned with corporate strategic plans and cost reduction initiatives.
Adheres to corporate and procurement policies and procedures.
Maintains a physical presence in the workplace.

Educational Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience required
3 or more years of experience in the field or in a related area

BS in Engineering, Supply Chain Management, Business or Organizational Leadership Management

Certified Professional in Supplier Diversity (CPSD)
Certified Six Sigma Green Belt
