Commodity Manager
Summary:

We are looking for a Commodity Specialist (Commodity Manager) who will work in global supply chain organization to Drive the material qualification and localization process to accelerate China Region localization and cost reduction; reduce qualification lead time; Identify design improvement opportunities to support world area best cost sourcing

  In This Role, Your Responsibilities Will Be:

- Provide strong technical guidance and management in the suppliers’ development and qualification of metallic / non-metallic components

- Reduce the qualification lead time thru effective failure analysis and optimizing internal / external qualification process.  Influence product engineering teams to optimize product testing content, speed up certification feedback time and promote the localization of materials.

- Some experience and expertise in industry standards (ASME, GB, etc), welding procedure qualifications, and material qualification requirements to newly developed suppliers, so that they can fully understand Fisher product requirements and shorten sample certification cycle 

- Interact and communicate effectively with international partners to speed up the qualification process.

  For This Role, You Will Need:

BS/MS degree in Materials Engineering with a metallurgical emphasis. 
Strong knowledge of materials and manufacturing process.
Product design and test engineering experience will be an added bonus.
Commodity / sourcing / supplier development experience.
Familiar with MS office software, computer-aided design and simulation programs
Proficient oral and written English skills.
