Your mission, roles and responsibilitiesOverall responsibilities and duties:
The commodity and Tooling and Equipment buyer is responsible for deploying the commodity strategy for its assigned commodities. The role of the Commodity Buyer is to manage relationship / negotiation with suppliers, pilot the utilization of supplier panel in programs and series production during sourcing, and ensure supplier performance. The role also involved managing Sourcing during development phase and coordinate the Sourcing activities with Off Shoring team.

Commodity Buyer Key Tasks, missions and responsibilities:
Responsible for implementing the Purchasing strategy through panel policy for assigned commodities, and accountable of the strategy deployment.
Responsible for budget achievements and leading purchasing activities for their Commodity and Region in strong collaboration with Serial Buyers and Regional Purchasing Manager by using all cost reduction levers
Negotiate contracts and terms with suppliers to ensure favorable conditions.
Maintain Supplier Panel status and perform Market screening for targeted segments in order to identify new suppliers that could be included in the Panel.
Accountable for management of suppliers in his/her portfolio including risk management
Provide supplier list eligible for sourcing to program buyer according commodity strategy for sustainable QCD performance and Support program buyer to reach QCD targets in development phase
In Charge of Performing sourcing and nomination, contracts, pilot development phase and manage ECR during program and Serial phase.
Tooling and Equipment Buyer Key Tasks, missions and responsibilities:
Develop and implement procurement strategies for tooling and equipment in alignment with the company's goals and objectives as well as the Global T&E Commodity
Perform Market Screening for targeted segments in order to identify new suppliers to integrate the panel (scouting) and propose to GCD with Regional Manager their integration in suppliers panel list and Launch RFI for benchmarking and market test
Lead and manage the regional tooling and equipment purchasing activities from identifying needs and potential suppliers, perform sourcing and nomination, contracts, support development phase, pilot the tools and equipment transfer and manage ECR during program and Serial phase.
Collaborate with engineering and production teams to understand and meet tooling and equipment requirements
Your profile and competencies to succeedQualifications:
Minimum education level: Bachelor or master’s degree in Engineering, Business, or related
Experience: Minimum 7 - 10 years in purchasing in an industrial environment. Experience of successfully managing and negotiating contracts. Automotive experience would be an advantage.
Skills & Competencies:
o Strong Knowledge of supply portfolio and market research and analysis
o Understanding of sourcing strategies and application (make or buy analysis,…)
o Deep understanding of business practices, market dynamics and trends
o Knowledge of contractual and legal aspects
o Experience in Tooling and Equipment will be a major advantage
o Experience in Automotive.
o Strong written and oral communications skills.
o Good command in English (Speaking, Writing and Reading).
o Good organization, rigorous and autonomous.
