Commodity Analyst / Jr. CommodityPRIMARY PURPOSE OF THE ROLE: The Commodity Analyst is responsible for analyzing and forecasting trends within specific classes of goods or services. This role involves monitoring trends, presents risks and opportunities to their manager, and supports price and contract negotiations.

ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBLITIES MAY INCLUDE
Conducts market research to identify risks and trends and reviews possible opportunities in commodity sourcing.Monitors fluctuations in commodity prices, analyzes spending patterns and identifies opportunities for cost reductions without compromising quality.Supports supplier negotiations by documenting and summarizing changes, ensuring the system is updated accordingly.Analyzes supplier performance by checking if they meet cost-saving goals.Establishes and maintains relationships with suppliers to ensure reliable and sustainable commodity sourcing.Maintains the documentation of contracts, request for proposals (RFPs), supplier agreements, and processes.Partners on sourcing projects that require collaboration across various teams and departments.Stays abreast of industry news, market trends, and regulatory changes that could affect commodity prices.QUALIFICATIONS
Bachelor’s degree in business administration, Supply Chain from an accredited college or university preferred.IIBA, CIPS or CPSM helpful but not required.Two plus (2+) years of related experience or equivalent combination of education and experience required.Experience with P2P platforms and/or Power BI helpful but not required.TAKING CARE OF YOU
