Summary:

We're looking for a Commodity Advisor to oversee a complex group of global and regional commodities for the semiconductor industry. This role is a strategic partner, driving all aspects of sourcing from negotiation to supplier management.

 

Detailed Description:    
Performs tasks such as, but not limited to, the following:

Manage a portfolio of commodities and services, developing and executing a procurement strategy that includes supplier analysis, selection, and pricing. Lead or support major corporate negotiations and contribute to the materials commitment process by analyzing pricing and BOMs. Act as the primary contact for internal site and customer support, and handle all quoting and negotiations. Build and maintain strong supplier relationships, including performance reviews and business development initiatives. You'll also interact directly with senior executives from multinational companies. Provide essential product cost support and resolve quality and performance issues for internal customers. Identify and communicate supply vs. demand for allocated products, escalating and resolving any critical shortages. Prepare bids, manage cost analysis, and present them to management. Maintain the material prices database, analyze BOM competitiveness, and ensure compliance. Guide and support junior team members and colleagues at other sites.

 

Requirements:

A bachelor's degree in a related field (Commerce or Engineering) or an equivalent combination of education and experience. 3-6 years of experience in commodity management. Extensive knowledge of the marketplace, including industry pricing, technology trends, and supply/demand dynamics. Proven experience in negotiating contracts, stocking programs, and supplier development is highly valued. Proficiency in computer applications, including ERP and office systems. Excellent problem-solving, communication, and conflict management skills. A high level of integrity and a proactive, independent work ethic. Strong desire for continuous learning and a positive, can-do attitude. Able to work in a hybrid work mode
