Job Summary\:

The Commissioning Manager is responsible for the planning, coordination, and execution of all commissioning activities on a mining construction project. This role ensures that all systems and components of the plant or facility are installed, tested, operated, and maintained according to operational requirements and safety standards. The successful candidate will oversee mechanical, electrical, and process commissioning, ensuring integration between construction and operations.

Key Responsibilities\:

Lead and manage the overall commissioning process from pre-commissioning through start-up and handover to operations.

Develop and implement detailed commissioning plans, schedules, and procedures.

Coordinate with construction, engineering, HSE, QA/QC, and operations teams to ensure a smooth transition from construction to commissioning.

Manage commissioning teams including supervisors, engineers, and subcontractors.

Ensure compliance with applicable safety and environmental standards during all commissioning activities.

Verify that equipment and systems are installed and functioning as per design, OEM requirements, and project specifications.

Facilitate Factory Acceptance Testing (FAT), Site Acceptance Testing (SAT), and performance tests.

Prepare and manage commissioning documentation, including checklists, test reports, punch lists, and final acceptance certificates.

Monitor progress and report on commissioning KPIs to project leadership.

Identify risks and implement mitigation strategies to minimize impact on schedule or budget.

Provide training and technical support to operations staff during handover.

*Qualifications\:

Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Electrical, Process, or related discipline).

Experience in commissioning, preferably in mining or heavy industrial construction projects.

Proven experience managing commissioning teams on major capital projects.

Strong understanding of mechanical, electrical, instrumentation, and control systems.

Knowledge of international commissioning standards and methodologies (e.g., ASTM, API, ISO, IEC).

Excellent leadership, communication, and organizational skills.

Proficiency in commissioning management software and tools (e.g., CMS, MS Project, P6).
