Job Description

We are seeking an enthusiastic and detail-oriented Commis I - Bakery to join our team. As a vital member of our bakery department, you will assist in creating delicious baked goods while maintaining high standards of quality and hygiene.

Assist in the preparation and production of various baked goods, including bread, pastries, and dessertsFollow recipes and baking instructions accurately to ensure consistent qualityMaintain a clean and organized work environment, adhering to food safety and hygiene standardsCollaborate with other kitchen team members to meet production goals and deadlinesAssist in inventory management and stock rotation of bakery ingredients and suppliesSupport senior bakers in developing new recipes and improving existing onesOperate and maintain bakery equipment and tools properlyContribute to the overall guest experience by producing high-quality baked productsParticipate in team meetings and training sessions to enhance skills and knowledgeAdapt to changing priorities and handle multiple tasks efficiently in a fast-paced environment

QualificationsHigh school diploma or equivalentPrevious experience in a bakery or food service role preferredBasic baking skills and knowledge of various baking techniquesAbility to follow recipes accurately and attention to detailFamiliarity with bakery equipment and toolsUnderstanding of food safety and hygiene proceduresExcellent teamwork and communication skillsStrong customer service orientationAbility to work flexible hours, including early mornings, weekends, and holidaysPhysical stamina to stand for extended periods and lift up to 25 poundsPassion for baking and willingness to learn new techniquesBasic math skills for measuring ingredients and adjusting recipesAbility to work efficiently in a fast-paced environmentPositive attitude and willingness to take direction from senior staff
