Commis Chef - Pastry & Bakery

Key Responsibilities:

Assist in the preparation and production of all pastry and bakery items, ensuring consistency in quality and presentation.

Follow recipes, methods, and instructions provided by senior chefs.

Maintain cleanliness and organization of the pastry and bakery section at all times.

Ensure all food items are properly stored, labeled, and rotated according to HACCP standards.

Assist in daily mise en place and stock control for assigned station.

Communicate effectively with other kitchen staff and support other culinary areas as needed.

Uphold all hygiene, safety, and food handling standards as per hotel and local regulations.

Stay updated on current trends in pastry and bakery and show initiative in learning new techniques.

Positive attitude and eagerness to learn and grow within the culinary field.

Previous experience or internship in a pastry/bakery kitchen, preferably in a hotel or restaurant environment.

Culinary certification or equivalent qualification is an advantage.
