Job Description
As a Commis Chef you will assist with the kitchen operations, servicing the Restaurant, Events. You will report to the Chef de Cuisine who oversees Japanese kitchen operations.
Key Responsibilities Include:
Prepare and cook high quality foodHelping to create good communication between FOH and BOHKeep the kitchen organized and cleanSupporting the Chef de Partie and other chefs with their duties, sometimes rotating stations to assist various chefsSafely operating, maintaining, and overseeing the proper use of kitchen equipmentAssisting with the plating and presentation of dishes to meet hotel standardsComplying with health codes, food safety, and hygiene standards at all timesQualificationsHold relevant Certificate cookery qualifications and previous experience in a similar roleHave knowledge about Japanese KitchenHave knowledge and understanding of HACCP Be flexible to work a range of different shifts, including weekendsBe able to work under pressure within a dynamic team environmentBe self-motivated and able to work without supervisionHave excellent interpersonal and communication skills
