Qualifications:Education CertificationDiploma or Certificate in Culinary Arts, specializing in Pastry or Baking (preferred).
Food Safety and Hygiene certification (mandatory in most regions).
Experience1–2 years of experience in a professional kitchen with a focus on pastry and bakery.
Prior experience in a hotel, resort, or high-end bakery is an advantage.
Technical SkillsKnowledge of basic and intermediate pastry techniques (e.g. sponge cakes, tarts, mousses, laminated dough, chocolate work).
Familiar with baking tools, ovens, mixers, and other kitchen equipment.
Ability to follow recipes and plating guidelines precisely.
Understanding of portioning, storage, and food presentation standards.
Soft SkillsStrong attention to detail and a passion for pastry arts.
Positive attitude and team-player mentality.
Good time management and ability to work under pressure.
Willingness to learn and take direction from senior chefs.
Other RequirementsPhysically fit; able to stand for long periods and perform repetitive tasks.
Flexible to work shifts, weekends, and holidays as required.
Able to communicate basic English (depending on property language standards).
