As a Supervisor in Commercial Finance, you will work with financially focused team building and modifying bespoke clinical trial budgets for our customers. You will work with account teams based in other countries through the direct and matrixed management of local resources.

Summarized Purpose

We are seeking a highly skilled and passionate supervisor to oversee our commercial finance personnel, serving as a local site liaison for our analysts ensuring an efficient operation and handling any issues or problems that may arise. This role will operate within a matrixed environment, collaborating closely with account management teams to ensure the delivery of high-quality budgets, proposals, and contract modifications to our valued customers.

Job Responsibilities

As a Commercial Finance Supervisor, you will:

Lead and supervise a team of 10-20 Commercial Analysts, ensuring flawless execution of their responsibilities in coordination with line managers.Lead all aspects of onboarding activities for new team members, ensuring their seamless and effective integration.Provide regular mentorship and feedback through one-on-one meetings to foster professional growth and development, in alignment with line managers.Act as an intermediary with local support teams, including HR, IT, and Facilities, to ensure seamless collaboration and support.Provide line managers with "eyes on the ground" support, analyst coaching and mentoring, employee counseling, corrective action plans, and terminations.Produce at least one Request for Proposal (RFP) or modification per month to keep production knowledge current and relevant.Participate actively in training activities to provide local support and ensure the team is up-to-date with the latest industry practices.Implement process improvements to enhance efficiency, accuracy, and effectiveness within the Commercial Finance function.

Job Requirements

To successfully implement the responsibilities of this role, you must have:

Preferred 1+ year experience as a Commercial Analyst with positive recommendation from line manager.Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and encourage a team in a multicultural matrix organization.Strong problem-solving skills to identify and resolve issues related to finance processes, systems, and Excel in a fast-paced environment.Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across various departments.An attitude that strives for world-class standards with a dedication to achieving them.Willingness to share knowledge, train, coach and mentor others while also constantly seeking self-improvement.Proficiency in English - B2+ minimum, C1 preferred.1+ year prior experience in a supervisory role is a plus.A bachelor's degree or equivalent in finance, accounting, business administration, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
