The role

As a Commercial Specialist, you’ll have a role that’s out of the ordinary. You’ll play a key part in one of the UK’s most significant defence programmes, protecting the company’s financial and contractual interests while helping to reduce risk, maximise value, and support long-term strategic objectives.

 

Day-to-day, you’ll manage commercial strategy and contract governance, ensuring financial targets are achieved and robust risk controls are in place to support long-term business success.

 

Provide commercial guidance to internal teams on contract changes, reviews, policies, and risk management Build and maintain strong stakeholder relationships through confident and effective engagement Develop practical and innovative commercial solutions in a fast-paced environment Ensure adherence to commercial policies, processes, and governance standards Identify, assess, and communicate contractual risks and mitigation strategies

 

This role is full time, 35 hours per week and provides hybrid working arrangements.

 

Essential experience of the Commercial Specialist

Proven experience in managing single source contracts Strong grasp of end-to-end commercial lifecycle principles and contract management Excellent communication, negotiation, and problem-solving abilities

 

Qualifications for the Commercial Specialist

Full driving license with willingness to travel for business Degree qualified (or equivalent) in Engineering, Business, Law or Accountancy - Desirable Professional memberships of WCC (World Commerce and Contracting) - Desirable
