Summary:
The Commercial Relationship Service Specialist II acts as the primary service contact for assigned Commercial customers and Relationship Managers.
Duties & Responsibilities:
Enhances value of Huntington’s service brand by providing Category of One experience for customers, tailored to their business and needs; professional, discreet, and positive communications with forward-thinking solutionsActs and makes decisions in coordination or on behalf of Relationship Managers; connects or informs other bank colleagues to enable seamless transition of service for non-credit productsOften assigned to support the most complex, visible, large, and/or sensitive customers and servicesTakes initiative to facilitate customer onboarding in conjunction with RM; ensures regulatory and system requirements are met; includes new and existing entities, foreign reviews, triggering events, and clearing exceptions and diligence cases; works directly with customer and deal team colleaguesObtains/reviews customer information and documents to open commercial deposit accounts; satisfies legal, technical, and compliance requirements; provides information to customers on deposit product types and featuresServices commercial deposit accounts, including updates to signers, account holds, CD renewals; manages overdrafts and approval process for time-sensitive decisioning; account closures; fraud protocols and interim monitoring; customer courtesy wires and funds movement; supports RM requests relating to deposit portfolioServices commercial loans, including customer requests for advances; rate changes; insurance monitoring; research of past dues, invoices, misapplied payments, and other issues; supports RM requests and special handling of unique administration requirements relating to loan portfolioUtilizes resources, judgment, decision-making to investigate and resolve complex customer service issues, while adhering to bank policies and proceduresTransitions customers to Treasury Management and other departments when needed for non-credit product implementation and service; may provide customer support for business onlineMaintains basic commercial product knowledge and fosters business partnerships to refer customers to the RM and TM Sales Advisor for cross-sell opportunitiesAttends customer meetings independently or with Relationship Managers; participates in deal team and business segment meetings; stays informed of customer strategies, relationship plans, and business team prioritiesMay mentor and assist in training less experienced colleaguesParticipates in projects and performs other duties as assigned
Basic Qualifications:
High school or GED3+ years in commercial banking deposits, loans, customer service
Preferred Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree
