Commercial Project Coordinator

Reporting to the Project Manager, the Project Coordinator will assist with overall project performance, including the management of costs, schedule, qualities, and overall project status, while maintaining excellent relationships with trades, subcontractors, and clients. They will keep the Project Manager informed of questions, progress, discrepancies in project process, and any other issues which would impact the plan and schedule.

Duties and responsibilities include but are not limited to:

Assist the Project Managers to ensure project objectives, policies, procedures, and performance standards are in accordance with company policy and contract specifications are meComply with all company health, safety, and environmental policies and proceduresAssist in planning and preparing construction schedules and milestones, and monitor progress against established timelinesAssist in preparing contracts and negotiating revisions, changes and additions to contractual agreements with clients, suppliers, and subcontractorsAssists in budget analysis, cost and margin projections, estimate project changes and impactsAssist in developing and implementing quality control programsBuild and maintain customer and supplier/vendor relationships Prepare progress reports and issue progress schedules to clientsTrade and subcontractor coordinationDocument controlPurchase supplies and materials as required to complete project

EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS

Graduate of the Construction Management Technology Program orEngineering Degree (i.e. civil, electrical or mechanical) or;Equivalent trade experience and knowledge or previous project coordinator experienceBasic knowledge of the construction industryPlanning and scheduling skillsUnderstanding of project forecasting and projectionsAbility to read drawingsCompetency in basic computer skills, including Microsoft Office productsPrevious CAD / Revit experience an assetDispute resolution and negotiation skillsMechanical / Plumbing experience and assetPrevious Procore experience an asset

WORK EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS

1-3 years' of mechanical project coordination experience

MS Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, Project)
