WCVB, Boston’s powerhouse ABC affiliate, is seeking a driven, resourceful, and detail-oriented Commercial Producer to join our fast-paced production team. The ideal candidate will lead the creation of high-quality television and multi-platform advertising campaigns from concept to final delivery, while helping to elevate our production standards and sustain strong, collaborative relationships with our valued clients. 

Responsibilities: 

Create marketing-driven campaigns that get results for clients. Manage all facets of commercial production—from scheduling and coordination to execution—while collaborating with clients, sales managers, account executives, sales teams, and agencies to craft effective messaging and branding campaigns tailored to client goals. Write, shoot, edit and produce commercial content to create high-quality marketing content for clients on all platforms (television and digital).  Support other production staff on commercial shoots, specifically in the areas of shooting, lighting, audio, and basic grip functions. Possess an internal drive to stay informed on emerging production technologies, creative techniques, and advertising trends both locally and nationally. Set and meet deadlines with clients and staff while managing equipment maintenance and usage. Apply strong graphic and production sensibilities to create visually compelling and brand-aligned marketing materials. Assist with the production workflow of various sponsored WCVB on-air service elements, including billboards, commercial tags, programming line ups, public service announcements, contest web drivers, etc. Assist as needed in production of station promotion projects for the WCVB Creative Services team. Perform additional duties and responsibilities as assigned.

Skills:

Work individually and lead projects through all phases of production including creative development, pre-production, production/shooting, post-production, finishing/delivery of video assets, unsupervised. Be able to transform initial marketing discussions with clients (and agencies) into fully developed creative concepts, culminating in a formal campaign presentation. Be able to take specific creative and collaborative direction from co-workers and supervisors.    Manage logistics by booking crews, scheduling shoots of all sizes, casting (when applicable) and ensuring projects are completed on time and within budget. Demonstrate advanced proficiency in Adobe Premiere Pro, After Effects, and Photoshop, as well as hands-on expertise in videography, lighting, and audio. Maintain excellent time management skills and perform well under tight deadlines. Demonstrate a client-first mindset with a positive, can-do attitude and a proactive, hands-on work ethic.

Requirements:

Preferred 3–5 years of practical experience in commercial production or within a closely related commercial production environment. Knowledge of Canon EOS Cinema and Sony Alpha cameras preferred. Must be able to have flexible hours to meet high volume demands periodically throughout the year. Must be willing to work extended hours and/or weekends when necessary to meet tight deadlines. Ability to lift and move production equipment weighing up to and occasionally exceeding 50 lbs. Valid driver's license with good driving record.
