Commercial Operations Proposal Leader

We are revolutionizing the way the world moves for future generations, and we want someone who is ready to move with us. **Who will you be working with?** As a Proposal Leader on the Commercial Ops team, you will indirectly lead and manage the entire ITO (Inquiry to Order) process for your assigned deals in our Digital Intelligence Operating Unit. You will work closely with the Sales Directors and Account Managers to ensure that customer needs are met and that all commercial aspects of the deal are aligned with the company's goals and objectives. **How will you make a difference?** You will lead the entire Inquiry to Order process, from receiving customer inquiries to generating proposals and closing deals. You will ensure that the team delivers high-quality proposals on time and within budget, and that they comply with company standards and guidelines. You will be responsible for overall commercial project coordination, risk and mitigation, price strategy and cost consolidation, and associated reviews during the deal process. **What do we want to know about you?** **Qualifications** **:** + Bachelor's or master's degree in engineering, Business Administration, or related fields. + Approximately 5 years of experience in a similar role, with experience in managing complex proposals and projects, especially in the supervisory, SCADA, PA/PIS, train control and railroad signaling area. Other similar experiences will also be considered like, other supervisory systems, turnkey, civil works and other construction projects. + Strong leadership skills, good communicator and business acumen. + Experience in developing and implementing winning commercial strategies and proposals, and or project execution. + Ability to work collaboratively with multiple levels of the organization + Strong understanding of risk management and mitigation strategies. + Understanding of legal and financial requirements for contracts. + Spoken and written proficiency in the English language is a must. + Strong planning, strategizing, managing, monitoring, scheduling, and critiquing skills. **Desired Characteristics** + Excellent written and verbal communication skills + Strong interpersonal skills in a fast-paced, deadline oriented, changing environment, and a proactive and can-do attitude. + Price Formulation and Financial Analysis experience (detailed pricing, financial analyses, including cash flow projections) + Excellent ability to handle multiple tasks, ability to exercise sound judgment and make decisions independently + Proficiency in all MS-Office applications including Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Project + A proven ability to conceptualize and write compelling, marketing-oriented proposal narrative and oral presentation slides from scratch as required + Skills to research, compose, review, illustrate, and edit technical documents, materials, and reports will be a plus. Communicate ideas and instructions clearly and concisely. **What will your typical day look like?** **Commercial Project Coordination:** You will coordinate all commercial aspects of projects, including Client’s requirements, different types of procurement (RFP, RFQ, RFI, etc.), budgets, contracts, schedules, scope compliances and project plans. You will ensure that all commercial activities are aligned with the project's goals and objectives. **Risk and Mitigation:** You will identify and assess project risks, develop and implement mitigation strategies to ensure that projects are completed on time, within budget, and to the required quality standards. **Competitive Commercial Proposals:** You will be responsible for providing competitive commercial proposals that meet customer requirements and business goals. You will take ownership and lead the negotiation of terms and conditions, margins, pricing, and other aspects required to close complex deals. **Contract Management:** You will be responsible for ensuring that all contracts are executed following company policies and guidelines. You will work closely with the Legal and Finance teams to ensure that all contracts are compliant and meet all legal and financial requirements. You may also be asked to perform other duties outside of your function or trade, for which adequate training will be provided if necessary. The salary range for this role is between $89,100.00-$126,900.00 The actual salary offered to a candidate may be influenced by a variety of factors, such as: training, transferable skills, work experience, education, business needs, market demands and work location.
