Xylem’s Applied Water-Residential and Industrial division is hiring a Commercial Operations Director of Vertical Turbines. This person will report to the VP/GM of the division and be responsible for overseeing and optimizing all inside commercial functions related to the sale of parts, components parts and capital projects, ensuring alignment with overall business objectives, maximizing revenue, and enhancing operational efficient. This role requires a strong technical background in pumps, including knowledge of various vertical turbines system design, and performance analysis, as well as strong leadership and communication skills. The manager oversees the team's work in selecting the right pumps, designing systems, providing technical support to sales and customers, and ensuring successful Inquire to Remittance experience to our customers partnering with Site Operations Director.
**Key Responsibilities:**
+ **Cross-functional Collaboration:** Foster effective communication and alignment between sales, operations, design engineering, application engineering, and other relevant departments to ensure a cohesive and customer-centric end to end approach.
+ **Sales Operations:** Oversee and optimize the entire sales process, including Sales process optimization, Sales technology and CRM management, such as Salesforce, sales forecasting and reporting, utilizing data and analytics to make informed decisions.
+ **Performance Analysis:** Monitor and analyze key performance indicators (KPIs) to identify areas for improvement and implement data-driven solutions.
+ **Technology & Process Improvement:** Identify, evaluate, and implement new technologies and processes to enhance operational efficiency and effectiveness within the order lifecycle.
+ **Proposal & Contract Management:** Lead the development and management of proposals and contracts, particularly for complex projects or large-scale pump installations.
+ **Technical Expertise:** Providing in-depth technical knowledge of pumps, including selection, system design, and performance analysis.
+ **Project Management:** Overseeing the application of pump technology to specific customer projects, ensuring timely and accurate completion.
+ **Team Leadership:** Managing, mentoring, and developing a team of application engineers, project managers and customer service representatives
**Required Skills and Qualifications:**
+ Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Chemical Engineering, or a related field.
+ 10+ years of experience with complex industrial equipment
+ 5+ years of experience as a manager of people working in cross functional teams
+ Strong understanding of pump system design, performance analysis, and selection.
+ Experience in reviewing and interpreting engineering specifications
+ Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
+ Strong problem-solving and analytical abilities.
+ Proven leadership and team management skills.
+ Experience with CRM systems
**Desirable skills**
+ Proficiency in engineering software and tools.
+ Familiarity with pump control systems (VFDs, PLCs) and motor selection
+ Knowledge of industry standards and regulations related to pumps
+ Helpful certifications include Lean Six Sigma and Project Management Professional (PMP).
+ Previous experience in Operations and Supply Chain at a manufacturer of complex rotating equipment is highly regarded
The estimated salary range for this position is $125,000 to $200,000 plus bonus. Starting pay is dependent on multiple factors, such as skills, experience and work location, and is not typically at the top of the range.
