Description We are looking for an experienced Commercial Litigation Attorney to join our team in Houston, Texas. This long-term contract position offers an excellent opportunity to work with a dynamic and client-focused law firm, handling complex business disputes and litigation matters. The ideal candidate is skilled in civil litigation and has a proven ability to manage cases effectively. Responsibilities: • Represent clients in various business disputes, ensuring their interests are protected throughout the litigation process. • Draft and review complex legal documents, including pleadings, motions, briefs, and appeals. • Formulate and execute effective litigation strategies to achieve favorable outcomes. • Negotiate settlements and resolve disputes in alignment with client objectives. • Conduct thorough legal research to remain current with relevant laws and regulations. • Communicate regularly with clients, opposing counsel, and court officials to ensure seamless case progression. • Utilize case management and document management software for efficient handling of litigation processes. • Handle construction-related litigation and other specialized commercial matters. • Provide guidance and expertise in complex commercial litigation scenarios. Requirements • Must be a licensed attorney with active membership in the state bar. • Proven experience in civil and commercial litigation is essential. • Proficiency in using case management and document management software. • Strong skills in drafting and briefing legal documents. • Familiarity with litigation processes, including claim administration and complaint handling. • Experience in handling complex litigation, including construction-related cases. • Excellent negotiation and communication skills. • Ability to conduct legal research and apply findings effectively.
