Commercial Lines Account Manager II

As a Commercial Lines Account Manager II, you will manage a book of new and renewal accounts by providing professional, courteous service to clients, carrier representatives and business partners. You will work with minimal supervision to support small to moderate sized client relationships. You will work closely with the team (Sales/Account Executive/Account Specialist/Strategic Account Executive) and other HUB personnel on all aspects of client service and marketing.

Your job responsibilities as a Commercial Lines Account Manager II:

Provide exceptional service with accuracy in processing renewals, endorsements, policies, and audits by agency required timelinesEnsures timely processing of invoices and client requestsWork with client/team on gathering marketing data, preserving quotes, client/carrier correspondence and updated client information in agency management systemPrepares and implements all transactions, paperwork, and internal processing for assigned accountsDevelop and maintain relationships with carrier representatives and remain educated on carrier appetitesAdvocates for client in the marketing process to obtain the best outcomes for clients by negotiating initial pricing and coverages with carrier underwriters or wholesalersAccompanies Sales/Account Executive/Account Specialist/Strategic Account Executive on client visits as requiredPrepares reports, proposals, and comparisons for team as requiredAdvanced knowledge of carrier online systems for obtaining quotes, loss runs, billing information, policy documents, etc.Primarily responsible for maintaining current receivable status for assigned clientsProactive efforts to collect receivables more than 30 days past-due should be undertaken, with each unresolved circumstance documented and reported to Sales Executive and accountingActs as liaison between clients and insurance carriers to resolve service issuesMay be involved in training of new hiresIdentifies opportunities for cross-sell and up-sellRefer claim issues regarding client loss or company denial problems to the claims teamDevelop competency in insurance coverages and various offerings from our insurance partnersContinue to broaden knowledge of the industry with continuing education, learning markets and accessing new ones when necessary for growing a bookFollows HUB Broker Standards policies/proceduresOther duties may be assigned

Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree or equivalent from four-year college or university preferredAt least two years of experience related to property and casualty account management preferredExperience with Epic or other insurance related software preferredAbility to acquire and maintain approved accredited program designation preferredAn equivalent combination of education and/or relevant work experience may be substituted in lieu of minimum qualificationsState property and casualty insurance license, or ability to obtain, requiredKnowledge of insurance agency operationsExcellent verbal and written communication skillsTeam player with a great attitude, self-motivation and the ability to work in a fast-paced environmentStrong communication, interpersonal, multi-tasking, and organizational skillsMust be thorough, detail-oriented and is responsible for working with confidential informationAbility to accommodate immediate requests, perform under short deadlines and coordinate multiple jobsAbility to function independently with minimal supervision

The expected salary range for this position is $60,000 to $80,000 and will be impacted by factors such as the successful candidate’s skills, experience and working location, as well as the specific position’s business line, scope and level. HUB International is proud to offer comprehensive benefit and total compensation packages which could include health/dental/vision/life/disability insurance, FSA, HSA and 401(k) accounts, paid-time-off benefits, and eligible bonuses, equity and commissions for some positions.
