Commercial Lines Account Assistant

About The Role

We’re looking for an experienced Account Assistant to support the account management workflow.  This role is ideal for a candidate with strong administrative support experience and proficiency in the EPIC broker management system. 

This position involves working on a book of business within a supportive team and management environment where knowledge is shared and development is encouraged.

What You’ll Do

Executing insurance certificates, auto liability slips, binders, statements of values, proposals, and processing of client documents (endorsements and policies) within timelines aligned with established service standardsMaintaining an effective abeyance system aligned with established service standardsSetting up clients and prospects in the brokerage management system Epic and Certificate ExchangeLoading Policy and Underwriting Information into EpicUpdating rate/premium histories and premium comparisons; calculation of PST, Invoicing, processing of journal entries, execution of premium finance forms, collection of aged receivables, as required, and correction of commission differencesMaintaining and updating the Summary of Insurance (update as policy changes occur and at renewal)Answering client queries, communicating with insurance companiesAssisting clients with Certificate ExchangeUpdating claims history on summariesProviding support where required and performing all other duties as assigned

What You’ll Need for Success

1-2 years of admin experienceProficient in Microsoft Office: Word, Excel, and OutlookExperience with Epic broker management system is desiredStrong organizational, time and client management skillsPractical communication skills: verbal and writtenStrong team playerProactive and customer-focused approachStrong initiative and follow-up skills
