**Amegy Bank** is seeking a **Relationship Manager** to join our dynamic Commercial Lending Team in **Houston** or **Sugar Land, TX** . This role is ideal for early career professionals who have foundational credit training and underwriting experience and are eager to grow in a client-facing, relationship-driven environment.
As a Relationship Manager, you’ll be part of a high-performing team that helps businesses thrive. You’ll work closely with clients to understand their financial needs and deliver tailored lending solutions. Your responsibilities will include:
+ Building and maintaining strong, low-risk commercial relationships while delivering exceptional customer service
+ Acting as the principal account and relationship manager for new and existing clients.
+ Managing and servicing a portfolio of commercial clients to ensure satisfaction and long-term success.
+ Generating new business leads through referrals, networking, and collaboration with other bank departments.
+ Conducting client meetings to assess needs, review portfolios, and recommend financial solutions.
+ Performing credit analysis, structuring loans, and exercising sound judgment in evaluating character and risk.
+ Cross-selling other bank products and services to meet client needs.
+ Supporting team goals and contributing to the development of commercial lending strategies and practices
+ Participating in ongoing training and development to sharpen your skills and expand your expertise.
**What You’ll Bring to the Role**
We’re looking for candidates who are passionate about relationship-building and ready to take ownership of their professional growth.
**To succeed in this role, you’ll need:**
+ A bachelor’s degree in business, finance, economics, or a related field.
+ Formal credit training and underwriting experience.
+ A minimum of 2–7 years of professional experience.
+ Strong sales and relationship management skills, with a passion for helping businesses grow.
+ A solid understanding of commercial credit structuring, banking products, and lending procedures.
+ Familiarity with the local business community and market dynamics is a plus.
+ A track record of consistent performance and tenure in previous roles.
