Commercial Innovation Manager - Sipoo

Commercial Innovation Manager, Arla Finland 

In this role, you will be part of the marketing department and responsible for delivering the long-term pipelines for our brands. All efforts should build on our purpose to make it easier for people to live healthier lives and eat well, whilst respecting the planet.

We are looking for a hands-on, engaging and commercially minded innovation leader who is a team player and aspires great business results. You know how to transform consumer insights and market opportunities into innovative consumer centric concepts and products and  you enjoy working closely with colleagues from around the organization. You are expected to engage with various local and global stakeholders to drive growth through the innovation process that results in new products for Finnish consumers.

Key parts of the job

You will predominantly work to drive innovation in Arla Finland. You will be managing a portfolio of your own projects as well as driving innovation KPIs by developing and delivering the +3-year innovation pipeline and supporting innovation projects across the marketing team through consumer, category and customer insight lenses.

You own the local innovation agenda for Arla Finland and work with local brands like Arla Lempi, but also with global brands and projects. You have the end-to-end ownership of developing the local long term innovation pipeline with other stakeholders from the marketing and sales teams. You lead selected innovation projects from concept development to product development in collaboration with consumer intelligence &  NPD teams as well as design agencies securing approval from local leadership team until the handover to the brand owners. You lead the innovation performance management, the local gate meetings and ensure that all innovation projects result in robust business cases leading to impact on profitable growth.

The role requires collaboration with other functions, specifically marketing, sales, finance and consumer intelligence.

Your profile

You have a master’s degree and 5+ years of experience in an FMCG environment. You understand consumer insights and know how to uncover them and have experience in innovation and project management in a multi-functional environment. You can work individually and have a sharing mindset. You’re curious by nature and you’ve always wanted to discover new things and grasp opportunities.

You thrive in an organization such as ours, always seizing opportunities, trial and error being part of the road to success. You will have strong skills in both managing people (indirectly) and the ability to navigate projects to a dynamic business environment, asking the right questions and driving simplicity into the communication and execution.

You have vision and passion, excel in project management & understand numbers and know how to drive projects through a local as well as a large international system. You demonstrate strong business mind and are able to use crucial marketing and financial levers to drive maximum value for the business.
