Responsibilities of the Commercial Finance Manager

Provide comprehensive financial analysis and reporting to support commercial decision-making processes across multiple business units. Collaborate closely with operational teams to develop budgets, forecasts, and long-term financial plans that align with organisational objectives. Monitor key performance indicators and deliver regular updates to senior management, highlighting trends, risks, and opportunities for improvement. Support month-end and year-end closing activities by ensuring accuracy in financial statements and compliance with relevant accounting standards. Identify areas for cost optimisation and efficiency improvements, working collaboratively with stakeholders to implement effective solutions. Assist in the preparation of board reports and presentations, translating complex financial data into clear insights for non-financial audiences. Act as a trusted advisor to both finance and non-finance colleagues, providing guidance on commercial matters and fostering strong interdepartmental relationships.

What the successful candidate will bring

Professional accountancy qualification (such as ACA, ACCA or CIMA) or equivalent experience is highly desirable for this position. Demonstrated experience in a similar commercial finance or management accounting role within a medium or large organisation. Proven track record of supporting budgeting, forecasting, and long-term planning processes within a commercial environment.
