The Commercial Director, New Openings - Asia Pacific (APAC) supports commercial management efforts for our APAC Hilton managed and franchise hotel portfolio with a goal of getting our newly opened and converted commercially ramped up as soon as possible. This is accomplished through analysis of hotel/portfolio performance, development of commercial strategies and tactics to improve portfolio performance, communication of Hilton commercial best practices, commercial property consultations, remote performance auditing, and training facilitation. The establishment of effective working relationships with Senior Commercial leadership, Brand teams, General Managers, Commercial Directors, Management and Ownership groups is also a critical component of this position. This role must have strong communication and analytical skills and a demonstrated ability to think strategically to resolve business challenges. This position recommends and coordinates commercial strategies for all new and conversion hotels within APAC and supplies critical analysis on company-wide decisions affecting pricing, occupancy, revenue goals and brand sales strategies. In accordance with the APAC regions and APAC regional Hilton managed and franchise strategic priorities, this role must develop strategies that assist in meeting these commercial goals. This will be further achieved by closely following commercial opportunities available and working across the region with other commercial and brand partners.
\nSupport Commercial Success of New Openings and Conversion Hotels
The responsibility of Commercial Director, New Openings is to support commercial success of all new openings, conversions, and management type conversions from managed/leased to franchise. The role will engage frequently with hotels and management company representatives to support them to build their own commercial action plans, provide strategic advice and address questions about Hilton's business processes and products, ensuring their teams are making full use of the Hilton’s commercial engine. This role will drive and lead ramping up efforts via conducting monthly commercial reviews and working with regional commercial functions to support delivery of actions that will drive premium market share. The role is required to work with Openings & Operations Support team and Revenue Management Openings Support team to ensure the right processes are built and adhered to ensure smooth hotel transition from Pre-opening teams to post-opening support functions. The role is responsible for tracking assigned openings and ramp up performance to identify opportunity properties and determine appropriate courses of action to achieve improved market share.
Commercial Engine and Brand – Support and Collaboration
Act as a Commercial liaison to brand team members. Determine the most effective means of partnering with Brand Performance Support, RMCC centers, Hilton Worldwide Sales, E-commerce, and Marketing to achieve commercial objectives. Assist in the preparation of training materials/courses and documentation designed to support the education of brand teams in support of APAC commercial goals. As required, facilitate or lead commercial discussions with brand team and commercial team members and collaborate to develop and prioritize commercial generating ideas. As appropriate, participate in brand and commercial team meetings to keep the commercial department informed of projects and initiatives that impact commercial performance for new Openings, Conversions and management type conversions.
