Join us. **Job Description** **AECOM Mississauga is hiring a Senior Commercial Manager to join our Alternative Delivery Group.** This is a senior leadership position responsible for guiding the commercial success of complex, high-profile infrastructure projects delivered through alternative procurement models such as P3s, progressive design-build, and construction management at risk. The successful candidate will bring deep expertise in project controls, commercial strategy, and contract management to ensure financial performance, risk mitigation, and successful delivery outcomes. **Key Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:** + Develops and implements robust commercial strategies for major infrastructure programs, aligning with project delivery models and client objectives. + Leads negotiations with clients, partners, and subcontractors in coordination with project leadership. + Oversees the project controls function across medium to large-scale projects, including cost, schedule, change, and risk management. + Reviews and evaluates complex construction contracts and advises on commercial implications, risk exposures, and compliance. + Prepares and manages project budgets, forecasts, and performance metrics, including monthly project performance reports and earned value analysis. + Conducts root cause and variance analysis to support corrective action planning and continuous improvement. + Drafts, reviews, and maintains comprehensive project procedures and commercial documentation. + Manages the review and approval of contractor invoices, ensuring alignment with scope, progress, and funding authorizations. + Ensures accurate and timely preparation of project schedules, with expert knowledge of critical path method (CPM), resource loading, and leveling. + Supports Project Managers in developing incentive frameworks and performance-based compensation programs. + Collaborates with internal stakeholders across finance, legal, procurement, and technical disciplines to support project governance. + Oversees and validates change order processes, ensuring full visibility and traceability of scope changes and commercial impacts. + Establishes and maintains strong relationships with clients, joint venture partners, and key stakeholders, fostering trust and collaboration. + Participates in talent development by mentoring staff, supporting succession planning, and identifying high-potential team members. + Plays a key role in commercial risk assessments and ensures contractual risks are managed appropriately throughout the project lifecycle. + Contributes to strategic planning, resource allocation, and staffing decisions for major pursuits and active projects. + Leads or supports commercial aspects of project pursuits, RFQ/RFP responses, and bid preparations, particularly for complex alternative delivery projects. **Qualifications** **Minimum Requirements:** + Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, Construction Management, Quantity Surveying, Finance, or a related field. + 12+ years of progressive experience in project controls, commercial management, or contract administration in an AEC (architecture, engineering, and construction) environment. + Minimum 4 years in a leadership or supervisory role. + Professional certification such as PMP or equivalent or PEng. **Preferred Qualifications:** + 15+ years of experience in commercial/project controls within large infrastructure programs. + Experience in alternative delivery models (e.g., P3, DBFOM, Progressive Design-Build). + Professional Quantity Surveyor (PQS) designation or equivalent. + Membership in the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors (MRICS) is considered an asset. + Strong working knowledge of applicable software tools such as Primavera P6, Oracle, or equivalent cost/schedule management platforms. **Additional Information** Sponsorship for Canadian employment authorization is not available for this position Offered compensation will be based on location and individual qualifications.
