Commercial Banking Portfolio Manager
**About this role:** Wells Fargo is seeking a Portfolio Manager to join our Commercial Bank, focusing on the Middle Market segment. In this role, you will manage a complex credit portfolio and be responsible for meeting the long-term financial objectives while ensuring sound risk management. You will serve as a key member of a client’s deal team and will play a critical role in credit underwriting, portfolio growth, and client relationship management, while mentoring junior team members and collaborating with internal and external stakeholders. **In this role, you will:** + Research complex credit investigations and diverse credit information for loans + Identify opportunity for process improvements within scope of responsibilities or functional area + Review and identify basic operational assignments that require research, evaluation, and selection of alternatives while exercising independent judgement to guide medium risk deliverables + Present recommendations for resolving complex situations and exercise independent judgement while developing expertise in the function, policies, procedures, and compliance requirements + Collaborate and consult with functional colleagues, internal partners, and stakeholders including internal as well as external customers **Required Qualifications:** + 2+ years of Commercial Banking Portfolio Management experience, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education **Desired Qualifications:** + Credit underwriting experience including commercial/Middle Market credit or specialty group relationship portfolio credit + Experience negotiating interest rates, price, terms, and collateral requirements + Knowledge and understanding of commercial and specialty group banking products and services + Solid knowledge and understanding of commercial banking credit policy, loan servicing, risk management, and group underwriting requirements + Experience working in nCino + Intermediate Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, and Outlook) skills + Strong analytical skills with high attention to detail and accuracy + Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills **Job Expectations:** + Ability to work a hybrid work schedule 4 days in office, 1 day remote + Position can report to any of the posted locations + No Visa Sponsorship available + Specific compliance policies may apply regarding outside activities or personal investing; affected employees will be expected to provide information to the Wells Fargo Personal Account Dealing Team and abide by applicable policy requirements if hired. Pay may vary depending on factors including but not limited to achievements, skills, experience, or work location.
