**About this role:** Wells Fargo is seeking a Portfolio Manager to join our Commercial Bank, focusing on the Middle Market segment. In this role, you will manage a complex credit portfolio and be responsible for meeting the long-term financial objectives while ensuring sound risk management. You will serve as a key member of a client’s deal team and will play a critical role in credit underwriting, portfolio growth, and client relationship management, while mentoring junior team members and collaborating with internal and external stakeholders. **In this role, you will:** + Research complex credit investigations and diverse credit information for loans + Identify opportunity for process improvements within scope of responsibilities or functional area + Review and identify basic operational assignments that require research, evaluation, and selection of alternatives while exercising independent judgement to guide medium risk deliverables + Present recommendations for resolving complex situations and exercise independent judgement while developing expertise in the function, policies, procedures, and compliance requirements + Collaborate and consult with functional colleagues, internal partners, and stakeholders including internal as well as external customers **Required Qualifications:** + 2+ years of Commercial Banking Portfolio Management experience, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education **Desired Qualifications:** + Credit underwriting experience including commercial/Middle Market credit or specialty group relationship portfolio credit + Experience negotiating interest rates, price, terms, and collateral requirements + Knowledge and understanding of commercial and specialty group banking products and services + Solid knowledge and understanding of commercial banking credit policy, loan servicing, risk management, and group underwriting requirements + Experience working in nCino + Intermediate Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, and Outlook) skills + Strong analytical skills with high attention to detail and accuracy + Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills **Job Expectations:** + Ability to work a hybrid work schedule 4 days in office, 1 day remote + Position can report to any of the posted locations + No Visa Sponsorship available + Specific compliance policies may apply regarding outside activities or personal investing; affected employees will be expected to provide information to the Wells Fargo Personal Account Dealing Team and abide by applicable policy requirements if hired.
