Roles & Objectives

As a Combustible Brands Intern you will be part of our Combustibles Category (CC) Department in Philip Morris Italia, and you will be reporting to the Supervisor CC Brands/Manager CC Brands. In your role, you will join the Combustibles Category Brands team supporting in developing and executing insight-driven CC Brands strategies and action plans. The position will be based in Rome.

 

Specific responsibilities:

- Analyze Adult Smokers’ needs, market dynamics and the brands performance in CC portfolio, in order to support the Supervisor in defining the business opportunities/issues and action plan for Combustibles brands.

- Prepare and lead briefs to agencies and suppliers, in collaboration with the Supervisor and follow up all the creative and production steps, including proper production, timely budget tracking and ensuring materials deployment in time with the brand and commercial plan.

- Keep constant contact with the Field Forces to monitor and report the deployment of activities, Trade and LAS reactions and gather info on competitive activities. Prepare and share reports/initiative tracking to the Supervisor, in order to evaluate results and improvement areas.

- Align with Trade Marketing and Commercial Team to ensure effective deployment of trade information and engagement, POS visibility, product initiatives. Liaise with Supply Chain to monitor stock and availability to avoid any market disruption.

- Support the Supervisor in the preparation and deployment of product and packaging initiatives, including limited editions, pack upgrades and new product launches, with constant alignment with local Supply Chain, central Operations functions, by respecting timing and by following the dedicated processes.

- Monitor the budget spending of own projects to ensure alignment to annual budgets and prepare monthly Rolling Forecast.

- Ensure that all brand programs and activities are in full compliance with local market law and regulations, the PMI Marketing Code and Business Conduct Principles & Practices.

 

Who we’re looking for:

- University degree in Economic or equivalent.

- Preference for experience in marketing positions.

- Literacy in Office Suite.

- Fluency in English and in Italian.

- Strong marketing mix savvy and creative skills.

- Strong analytical, planning and organization skills.

- Ability to manage stakeholders and work with different departments.

- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.

- Ability to work alone, in team and to engage with multi-functional stakeholders.
