Job Title: Systems Technician
Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Systems Technician to join a team dedicated to Combat System Integration support for Non-AEGIS class ships. The role requires expertise in Radar and Ship Self Defense Systems (SSDS), supporting physical design, installation, testing, and maintenance of US Navy Combat Systems.

ResponsibilitiesActively participate as part of a team of engineers, technicians, and support personnel to provide ship integration services.Perform technical reviews of planned ship upgrades, coordinating Ship Integration Liaison Action Reports (LARs), and provide written comments on issues and impacts.Generate and conduct technical reviews of Combat Systems Integration/Engineering Ship Change Documents (SCDs).Review Combat Systems changes to identify possible conjunctive alteration impacts with other ship systems.Participate in assessment events related to integration and testing of ship systems.Conduct Ship Checks to document existing compartment arrangements and configurations.Essential Skills10+ years of experience as either a Fire Control Technician (FC) or Electronics Technician (ET) or 5 years of experience in ship system engineering support.Specific experience in Ship Self Defense Systems and/or Radar Systems.Familiarity with ship system design processes including SCDs, ECPs, and ECRs.Familiarity with US Navy Ship Specification Documents such as GSO, Ship Specs, and MIL-STDs.Additional Skills & QualificationsRecent experience supporting NSWCDD.Experience with AutoCAD.Work Environment

The work is primarily onsite with potential for hybrid flexibility once up to speed. This role offers the opportunity to work on Non-AEGIS ships including amphibious submersibles and Aircraft Carriers, contributing to the safety and modernization of naval technologies.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $33.65 - $40.86/hr.
