Job Description
We are seeking a Combat Systems Technician to join a dedicated team working on Combat System Integration support for CVN and Non-AEGIS class ships. This role involves supporting a longstanding program that is integral to the safety and operational readiness of our nation's naval forces.
ResponsibilitiesActively participate as part of a team consisting of engineers, technicians, and support personnel to provide ship integration services, including physical design, installation, testing, and maintenance of USN Combat Systems.Perform technical reviews of planned ship upgrades and coordinate Ship Integration Liaison Action Reports (LARs), providing written comments on issues and impacts.Generate and perform technical reviews of Combat Systems Integration/Engineering Ship Change Documents (SCDs).Review Combat Systems changes to identify possible conjunctive alteration impacts with other ship systems.Participate in assessment events related to integration and testing of ship systems.Conduct ship checks to document existing compartment arrangements and configurations.Essential SkillsProficiency in Ship Installation Drawings and Technical Reviews.Experience with Ship Change Documents and Combat System Integrations.Proficiency in AutoCAD.Additional Skills & Qualifications8+ years of experience as either a Fire Controlman (FC) or Electronics Technician (ET) or 5+ years of experience in ship system engineering support.Specific experience in areas such as Command and Control, Electronic Warfare, or Ship Self Defense Systems.Familiarity with ship system design processes (SCDs, ECPs, ECRs) and US Navy Ship Specification Documents (GSO, Ship Specs, MIL-STDs).Recent experience supporting NSWCDD preferred.Active clearance.Work EnvironmentThis position requires onsite work with potential hybrid flexibility once onboarded and up to speed. Employees will have the opportunity to work on Non-AEGIS ships, including amphibious submersibles and aircraft carriers, using cutting-edge technologies to ensure the nation's warfighters remain safe and prepared.Need to be open to occasional travel to Dahlgren, VAPay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $33.65 - $40.86/hr.
