Job Description
As a Color Laboratory Technician, you will be responsible for accurately matching colors and formulating designs for various resins. You will perform quality control and quality assurance tasks, conduct laboratory tests and inspections to ensure high standards, and collaborate with production, sales, and customer service teams. Operating small-scale molding machines and weighing small amounts of pigments will be part of your duties. You are expected to work independently while effectively contributing to team efforts.
ResponsibilitiesMatch colors accurately for various resin formulations.Conduct laboratory tests and inspections to maintain high standards.Perform quality control and quality assurance tasks.Collaborate with production, sales, and customer service teams.Operate small-scale molding machines.Weigh small amounts of pigments precisely.Contribute effectively to team efforts while working independently.Essential SkillsExpertise in color matching and chemistry.Quality control and quality assurance experience.Operation of small-scale molding machines.Proficiency in polymer chemistry and polymer science.Ability to pass a color test.Basic math skills.Additional Skills & QualificationsMinimum of 2 years of experience, though 1 year may be considered for a strong candidate.College-level education in polymer science and color theory preferred but not required.Experience in extrusion and screen printing is beneficial.Prior experience in a color house preferred.
Work Environment
The position is based in a laboratory setting. Working hours are from 8 AM to 5 PM, Monday through Friday, with occasional overtime as needed. The company is in growth mode and offers flexibility with working hours.
Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $22.00 - $27.00/hr.
