Job Title: Color Laboratory Technician
Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Color Laboratory Technician to join our team. This role requires expertise in color matching, formulating, and designing various resins, including olefins, engineering resins, glass-filled, and high-heat resins. The ideal candidate will have prior experience in a color house, with a preference for those with pellet master batch formulation experience. Candidates with liquid color formulation experience may also be considered with additional training.

ResponsibilitiesMatch colors accurately and formulate designs for various resins.Perform quality control and quality assurance tasks.Conduct laboratory tests and inspections to ensure high standards.Collaborate with production, sales, and customer service teams.Operate small-scale molding machines and weigh small amounts of pigments.Work independently while effectively contributing to team efforts.Essential SkillsExpertise in color matching and chemistry.Basic math skills.Ability to pass a color test.Operation of small-scale molding machines.Quality control and quality assurance experience.Additional Skills & QualificationsCollege-level education in polymer science and color theory is preferred.Minimum of 2 years of experience, but 1 year may be considered for a strong candidate.Experience in extrusion and screen printing is beneficial.Work Environment

The position is based in a laboratory setting. The working hours are from 6 AM to 4:30 PM, Monday through Friday, with occasional overtime as needed.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $22.00 - $27.00/hr.
