GDIT is seeking highly experienced and qualified Collective Staff Trainer (MET) (MEL4) to support our Mission Command (MC) training teams at various Mission Training Complexes (MTC).  The ideal candidate acts as a recognized technical expert in base labor category description. Functions as the highest-level individual contributor in the Intelligence Warfighting Function (WfF).

HOW THE COLLECTIVE STAFF TRAINER WILL MAKE AN IMPACT:

Utilizes expertise and experience in staff training best practices, industry requirements and information technology disciplines to develop technical and training solutions in support of Army mission command training.

Has a high level of diverse technical and industry experience related to a specific skill set.

Typically has specialization in a particular technology or WfF.  

Keeps abreast of doctrinal, operational and tactical training methodology as well as technological developments and trends.

Plans, coordinates, and executes unit collective training at echelons ranging from Battalion to Corps.  

Assists unit leadership in planning collective training that will meet their training objectives; identifies any gaps (resource, training, equipment, etc.) and works with the management team to ensure they are filled prior to execution of training.  

Serves in a mentorship or observer/trainer role when requested.  

Gathers observations based on unit actions during the training event and provides input to unit After Action Reviews (AARs).  

Maintains a comprehensive repository of relevant TTPs.    

WHAT YOU’LL NEED TO SUCCEED:

Education: BS or BA degree, subject immaterial, or equivalent combination of education, technical certifications, or training/work experience, or have completed Army Command & General Staff College (CGSC) or equivalent level military schooling.

Experience: Minimum of 10 years of related experience in instructional development, Military training and training support. Requires approximately two years additional experience over the Training and Development Specialist.

Required Skills and Abilities:

Advanced knowledge of the principles, methods, and techniques used in technology-based training as well as the use and application of off-the-shelf tools and associated equipment and systems.

Experience in operations and training requirements at Brigade or higher level

Successfully served as a former Intelligence battalion or brigade S3 or XO, or BN/BDE S2.

Security Clearance: Active Secret required to start

Location: Fort Riley, KS. Normal work schedule is 0730-1630, may require night or weekend work shifts depending on specific training event requirements

Travel: Must be able to travel up to 25% of the time, as required
