Collections Specialist
Job Title: Collections SpecialistJob Description

The Collections Specialist will communicate with consumers via phone and approved written correspondence to resolve unpaid accounts. This role requires providing thorough, efficient, and accurate updates to account files for each interaction while ensuring compliance with Federal, State, and Local regulations governing the collections industry. You will demonstrate strong customer service skills in a fast-paced environment and perform additional duties as assigned by management.

Essential SkillsProficiency in customer service, call center operations, and data entry.Ability to type and talk at the same time.Capacity to handle numerous inbound calls.Comfortability speaking on the phone.Experience with collections and collections customer service.Strong attention to confidentiality and data protection.Proficiency in Microsoft Office.Excellent interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills.
Additional Skills & QualificationsAbility to work effectively in a multi-tasked, team-oriented environment.Strong organizational and prioritization skills.Flexibility to adapt to changing schedules.English required; bilingual candidates preferred.
Work Environment

The position requires working five days in the office, from 8am-5pm Monday through Thursday and 8am-4pm on Friday. You will be part of a team consisting of 13 collection specialists and 1 manager. The company offers a strong family-type environment with many long-term employees. There is room for growth, extensive training, and an atmosphere of trust and independence. This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Pasadena, Maryland.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $18.00 - $23.00/hr.
