Description Robert Half Finance & Accounting Contract Talent is currently seeking a Collections Specialist for a temporary assignment. This role requires a motivated individual with strong collections experience as well as a background in accounting. The ideal candidate will be comfortable managing collections activity while also handling basic accounting responsibilities. Day-to-Day Responsibilities: Manage collections activity, including contacting clients regarding outstanding balances. Review and interpret financial reports and legal documents related to collections. Apply knowledge of accounting principles to ensure accurate reporting. Maintain and reconcile accounts within the General Ledger. Ensure compliance with The Fair Debt Collections Practices Act and CFPB regulations. Partner with management to resolve collection issues and support overall financial operations. Job Requirements: Five or more years of experience in a collections environment. Proficient in accounting principles. Ability to read, analyze, and interpret financial reports and legal documents. Strong knowledge of General Ledger functions. Familiarity with The Fair Debt Collections Practices Act and CFPB requirements.
