Description We are looking for a motivated Collections Specialist in Nashua, New Hampshire. This is a Contract to permanent position offering the opportunity to contribute to a growing organization while enhancing your skills in attention to detail. The ideal candidate will have experience in high-volume payment posting and will play a key role in managing accounts receivable and maintaining financial accuracy. Responsibilities: • Conduct both inbound and outbound calls to manage collections and resolve outstanding balances. • Process daily cash applications, ensuring accurate allocation of payments to customer accounts. • Post high-volume cash receipts, including wire transfers, checks, and credit card transactions. • Track daily deposits and retrieve remittance data to maintain financial records. • Address vendor inquiries promptly and provide necessary resolutions. • Update and maintain customer files to ensure the accuracy and integrity of data. • Follow up on past-due accounts and document all interactions and outcomes in the system. • Record customer payments accurately in the appropriate reports and reconcile discrepancies. Requirements • Proven experience in collections, including handling commercial accounts. • Strong knowledge of credit and collections processes. • Proficiency in account reconciliation and bank reconciliations. • Familiarity with accounts receivable (AR) procedures and cash applications. • Attention to detail and accuracy in financial reporting. • Excellent communication skills for interacting with customers and vendors. • Ability to work efficiently in a high-volume environment and meet deadlines.
