Description We are looking for a diligent Collections Specialist to join our team on a contract basis in Sunrise, Florida. This role involves managing collection processes, maintaining accurate records, and delivering excellent customer service. The position requires working 1-2 days a week in the office, with no remote option. Responsibilities: • Manage and execute commercial and consumer collection activities to ensure timely payments. • Communicate with clients to resolve billing issues and negotiate payment arrangements. • Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of collections efforts using QuickBooks and QuickBooks Online. • Collaborate with internal teams to address discrepancies or disputes related to accounts. • Follow established credit and collection procedures to ensure compliance with company policies. • Prepare reports on collection activities, outstanding accounts, and payment trends. • Assist in analyzing customer creditworthiness to minimize financial risks. • Deliver attentive and courteous customer service during all interactions. • Identify opportunities to improve collection processes and recommend solutions. Requirements • Proven experience in commercial and consumer collections. • Strong knowledge of collection processes and billing systems. • Proficiency in QuickBooks and QuickBooks Online. • Excellent communication and negotiation skills. • Ability to handle sensitive financial information with discretion. • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail. • Familiarity with credit analysis is a plus. • Ability to work independently and meet deadlines.
