Description We are looking for a motivated Collections Specialist to join our team in Elk Grove Village, Illinois. This Contract-to-permanent position offers an opportunity to contribute to a dynamic environment within the waste management industry. The role involves engaging directly with customers to resolve billing issues, manage collections, and ensure timely follow-ups on outstanding accounts. Responsibilities: • Conduct outbound calls to remind customers about overdue invoices and bills. • Follow up on past-due accounts across large territories, ensuring efficient resolution. • Address customer inquiries and resolve billing issues promptly and professionally. • Manage multiple tasks simultaneously while maintaining a high level of accuracy and attention to detail. • Provide exceptional customer service using soft communication skills to build positive relationships. • Collaborate with internal teams to support billing and collections processes. • Utilize accounting software and CRM tools to track and manage account information. • Handle inbound calls related to billing and collections with professionalism. • Work effectively under pressure to meet deadlines and achieve collection goals. • Cover multiple districts, demonstrating adaptability to varying needs and priorities. Requirements • Familiarity with accounting software systems, CRM platforms, and Epic Software. • Strong ability to handle inbound and outbound calls with professionalism and clarity. • Knowledge of billing and collection procedures. • Excellent multitasking skills to manage various responsibilities simultaneously. • Ability to resolve issues in a timely and efficient manner. • Comfortable working under pressure in a fast-paced environment. • Customer service experience with a focus on soft communication skills. • Willingness to undergo training to further develop skills and knowledge.
