Description We are looking for a dedicated Collections Specialist to join our team in Lexington-Fayette, Kentucky. In this Contract-to-Permanent role, you will work closely with commercial accounts to ensure timely and efficient resolution of outstanding balances while fostering strong relationships with clients. This position offers an excellent opportunity to leverage your collections expertise within the wholesale distribution industry. Responsibilities: • Manage and oversee collection efforts for commercial accounts to achieve timely payment resolutions. • Communicate effectively with clients to address outstanding balances while maintaining strong customer relationships. • Utilize established collection processes to recover overdue payments in an efficient and detail-focused manner. • Collaborate with internal teams to ensure accurate account information and payment records. • Monitor and report on collection activity, identifying trends and areas for improvement. • Handle escalated accounts with tact and professionalism to achieve successful outcomes. • Maintain compliance with company policies and industry regulations throughout collection processes. • Provide exceptional customer service while balancing firm collection practices. • Document and update records of all communication and collection activities in company systems. Requirements • Proven experience in collections, particularly with commercial accounts. • Strong understanding of collection processes and procedures. • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills to manage customer interactions effectively. • Ability to handle challenging situations with professionalism and tact. • Proficiency in record-keeping and documentation to ensure accurate and detailed account tracking. • Familiarity with regulatory requirements related to collections. • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail. • Ability to collaborate with internal teams and adapt to a fast-paced work environment.
