Collections Specialist
Description We are looking for a dedicated Collections Specialist to join our team on a long-term contract basis in Sunnyvale, California. In this role, you will play a key part in managing billing and collections processes while ensuring accuracy and efficiency in financial operations. This position offers an opportunity to work in a fast-paced environment, leveraging your expertise to maintain healthy cash flow and build strong client relationships. Responsibilities: • Oversee customer billing processes, including generating invoices, reconciling accounts, and processing adjustments to ensure accuracy and timeliness. • Conduct proactive collections activities, resolving outstanding balances and disputes while maintaining positive client relationships. • Utilize NetSuite for accurate financial data entry and record-keeping, adhering to company standards and compliance requirements. • Collaborate with sales and customer success teams to address and resolve billing-related issues and discrepancies. • Monitor accounts receivable aging reports and prioritize follow-ups to optimize cash flow. • Generate routine and ad-hoc financial reports for management, providing insights into billing and collections performance. • Safeguard sensitive financial information, demonstrating professionalism and discretion at all times. • Identify opportunities to streamline billing and collections processes, implementing improvements where necessary. Requirements • 3–5 years of experience in billing, accounts receivable, and collections, preferably within SaaS or technology industries. • Advanced proficiency in NetSuite is required; familiarity with other financial systems and tools is a plus. • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with exceptional attention to detail. • Ability to work independently and efficiently in a remote setting, managing priorities with minimal supervision. • Excellent verbal and written communication skills to effectively interact with clients and internal teams. • Proven ability to adapt to dynamic work environments and deliver results in a fast-paced setting. • A solid understanding of SaaS billing structures and processes. • Professionalism in handling sensitive financial data and maintaining confidentiality.
