Description We are looking for a detail-oriented Collections Specialist to join our team in Atlanta, Georgia on a long-term contract basis. In this role, you will leverage your expertise in accounts receivable and collections to ensure timely invoice payments while resolving discrepancies effectively. This position offers an excellent opportunity to contribute to the financial health of our organization by managing payment processes and enhancing collection strategies. Responsibilities: • Oversee the collection of outstanding invoices from exhibitors and vendors for convention-related supplies and equipment. • Conduct follow-ups post-events to ensure timely payment of issued invoices. • Investigate and resolve payment discrepancies by analyzing records and matching payments to invoices. • Apply accounts receivable expertise to address unpaid invoices from past events. • Collaborate with internal teams to gather documentation and ensure billing accuracy. • Maintain comprehensive records of collection activities, including correspondence and payment statuses. • Communicate professionally with clients to negotiate payment terms or address disputes. • Identify and implement improvements to streamline collection processes. • Provide management with regular updates on collection progress and outstanding balances. • Assist with transitions to new billing systems or procedures as needed. Requirements • Proven experience in commercial and consumer collections. • Strong knowledge of credit and collection processes. • Expertise in billing collection practices. • Excellent analytical skills to identify and resolve payment discrepancies. • Proficiency in accounts receivable systems and tools. • Effective written and verbal communication skills for client interactions. • Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize in a fast-paced environment. • Commitment to maintaining accurate and organized financial records.
